Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026The short version: we collect only what we need to make your cuts, keep your history and run your subscription. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and you can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.
Who we are
Kuttsy is made by Dominic Capaci LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste 63226, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Write to us at [email protected].
This policy covers the Kuttsy app for iPhone and Android and the website kuttable.com.
Your videos
When you cut a video, content from your recording is analyzed by our service providers, including third-party AI services, to make your cut. It is used only for that, is not kept by us or by them once the cut is done, is never used to train anyone’s models, and is never used to recognize who you are.
So you can reopen a cut later, your account keeps the details of each cut: which parts were kept and removed, and the length before and after. The words spoken are not kept in your account.
Deleting a cut in the app deletes its details from your account. Deleting your account deletes all of them.
Your account
Kuttsy asks you to sign in before you cut anything, so that your cuts and your subscription belong to an account you can get back to on another phone. When you sign in, we hold:
- with Apple: the email address Apple gives us, which may be a private relay address, and your name if you share it;
- with Google: your email address, your name and your profile photo;
- with email: your email address.
We use your email to sign you in, to send receipts and to answer support. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
If you ask for a beta invitation on kuttable.com, your email address goes to Apple’s TestFlight, which sends the invitation; we keep no copy of it.
Purchases
- In the app, Apple (on iPhone) or Google Play (on Android) handles the payment. We never see your card; we learn only that your account has an active plan and which one.
- On the website, Stripe handles the payment. Stripe holds your card details and your billing address; we hold your email address, your plan and its status.
We keep purchase records for as long as tax law requires, which in the United States is seven years.
Questions on the website
Before a free trial starts on kuttable.com we ask a few optional questions, such as what kind of creator you are, how many videos you make and how you heard about us, and you can share your social handle. Your answers are stored on their own, in a spreadsheet run by one of our service providers, without your email or account, and we use them only to understand who Kuttsy is for and to improve it.
Usage data
Like any online service, we keep ordinary logs (such as IP address and time of a request) for a short period to keep the service running and to find problems. Kuttsy has no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites, and no third party collects data about your activity over time through Kuttsy. Because we do not track you, we treat every visitor the same whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Why we process this
To provide the service you asked for (cutting your videos, keeping your history, your subscription), to take payment, to answer support, to keep the service secure, and to meet legal obligations such as tax records. Where the law requires a legal basis, these are performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
Who we share data with
Apple, Google and Stripe, to take payment. Beyond them, only service providers that work on our behalf to run Kuttsy: to host the service and your account, to analyze your recordings and make your cuts (including third-party AI services), to manage subscriptions and to send email. Each may use the data only for the job we give it and must protect it at least as well as this policy does. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not give it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept until |
|---|---|
| Content from a recording you cut | The cut is done |
| Details of each cut | You delete the cut or your account |
| Account and sign-in details | You delete your account |
| Subscription status | Your account is deleted, plus any period the law requires |
| Purchase records | Seven years, for tax |
| Logs | About 30 days |
Your choices
- Delete a cut: in the app, from the cut’s menu.
- Delete your account: in the app, Profile → Delete account. It removes your account, your sign-in details and your whole history. A subscription bought on kuttable.com ends with the account. One bought from Apple or Google Play keeps running until you cancel it there, so cancel it first. If you no longer have the app, ask by email.
- Cancel a subscription: iPhone Settings → Subscriptions, or the Play Store’s Payments & subscriptions, for an in-app purchase; the link in your receipt email for a website purchase. The support page walks through both.
- Get a copy, correct something or ask a question: email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in California, you have the rights to know, to delete and to correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those words are defined in California law.
Children
Kuttsy is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data between your phone, the website and our service is encrypted in transit, and your history is readable only by your own account.
Where your data goes
We are based in the United States and our service providers operate there. If you use Kuttsy from elsewhere, your data is transferred to the United States and protected by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and if the change matters to you we say so in the app or by email before it takes effect.
